ZERO INSTALLATION — PROVISIONING

Prepare the first server. Let the others install themselves.

Start with the first configured cluster server. Prepare the deployment plan and USB media from it; after subsequent servers boot, they pull the matching system and install automatically.

REPEATABLE DEPLOYMENT, FEWER MANUAL STEPS

One initial setup. A common path for the next servers.

Zero Installation removes the repetition of manually installing the operating system, RKE2 and the platform on every machine.

  1. 01

    First server and deployment plan

Prepare the first server and define the deployment plan and system source for the new servers.

  2. 02

    Create USB boot media

Create boot media from the configured platform environment to start the installation path on subsequent servers.

  3. 03

    Boot the next servers

Boot the additional servers from USB with the network connectivity required to reach the deployment source.

  4. 04

Pull the system and install automatically

The servers pull the system matching the source and run the installation steps automatically, instead of repeating manual setup for each server.

Prepare the source once, then repeat the same installation path across the new servers.

INSIDE PROVISIONING

A clear path from plan to server.

Provisioning brings deployment stages and server tracking together, with a failed-server path for supported procedures.

Plan
Define the deployment plan the servers will follow.
Image
Select the system source that matches the deployment plan.
Flash
Prepare the boot media used to start installation.
Servers
Track servers through the deployment path.
Failed server
Access the workflow for a failed server.

ENVIRONMENT READINESS

Start with a foundation ready to grow.

A configured first server

Provides the starting point for the deployment plan and system source.

Suitable connectivity and boot media

New servers reach the deployment source over the network and start from the prepared USB media.

Licence capacity for new servers

Each additional server needs an available place in the project licence.

ZERO TOUCH AND RECOVERY

Automation extends to system rebuilding.

With the recovery path configured, the platform rebuilds the system automatically for supported failure scenarios. This capability works alongside HA readiness, data-protection plans and coordination between sites.
